Manchester United enjoyed one of the greatest seasons in the club’s history, winning both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. In the league, United finished two points ahead of Chelsea, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring 31 goals in the Premier League and establishing himself as one of the best players in the world. The Champions League campaign culminated in an all-English final against Chelsea in Moscow. After Ronaldo’s first-half header was cancelled out by Frank Lampard, the match finished 1–1 and United won 6–5 on penalties, with Edwin van der Sar saving Nicolas Anelka’s decisive spot-kick after John Terry had slipped while taking Chelsea’s fifth penalty. United also won the 2008 Community Shield, beating Portsmouth 3–1 on penalties following a goalless draw.

Hi, I’m Dale

I’m the person behind MadeByDale and this website. It’s a passion project, built by a fan, for fans who love the shirts as much as the football.

My goal

To make the most fun and immersive way to explore Manchester United’s shirt history, season by season: every shirt, the trophies won, the players who made the difference and the stories behind each campaign, all in one place.

Keeping it going

The site is free to explore. If you enjoy it, an optional donation helps me cover hosting and domain costs and gives me the time to keep it updated, add more seasons and expand on specific years with deeper stories, stats and shirt details. No pressure at all: sharing the site with another fan helps just as much.
