United finished second in the Premier League, just one point behind Chelsea, despite another strong season from Wayne Rooney. Rooney scored 34 goals in all competitions and became the main attacking force following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Real Madrid. United retained the League Cup by beating Aston Villa 2–1 in the final, with Rooney scoring the winner after coming on as a substitute. They also won the 2010 Community Shield, defeating Chelsea 3–1 at Wembley, with goals from Antonio Valencia, Javier Hernández and Dimitar Berbatov. In Europe, United reached the Champions League quarter-finals but were eliminated by Bayern Munich on away goals after a 4–4 aggregate draw.

Hi, I’m Dale

I’m the person behind MadeByDale and this website. It’s a passion project, built by a fan, for fans who love the shirts as much as the football.

My goal

To make the most fun and immersive way to explore Manchester United’s shirt history, season by season: every shirt, the trophies won, the players who made the difference and the stories behind each campaign, all in one place.

Keeping it going

The site is free to explore. If you enjoy it, an optional donation helps me cover hosting and domain costs and gives me the time to keep it updated, add more seasons and expand on specific years with deeper stories, stats and shirt details. No pressure at all: sharing the site with another fan helps just as much.
